Hey there! I’m the heart and mind behind Planted on Purpose Counseling, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. I love guiding people through life’s twists and turns with honesty, humor, and just the right amount of tough love.
From deep, soul-shaking trauma to the harsh realities of the corrections system, I’ve walked alongside people in some of their darkest moments—so trust me, I’ve seen it all. But here’s the thing: you are not your past, your pain, or your worst day.
I meet you exactly where you are—whether you're fighting to get unstuck, untangling old wounds, or standing on the edge of something new. My goal? To help you break cycles, build resilience, and step boldly into the life you were meant to live.
Education isn’t just something I pursued—it’s a foundation I’ve built to serve others with purpose and expertise. I earned both my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Bethune-Cookman University (yes, I’m a Wildcat through and through! 🐾) and am currently diving even deeper as I work toward my Doctor of Education in Marriage and Family Counseling.
But let’s talk experience—because I didn’t just sit in classrooms. With 9 years of experience, I’ve worked for the Department of Children and Family Services, advocating for families in crisis and ensuring children receive the support they need. I’ve led group therapy for at-risk teens, specialized in helping children heal from sexual abuse, and created support groups for parents navigating the aftermath. I’ve also worked in the high-stakes world of corrections, providing crisis intervention when every second mattered.
Simply put, I don’t just study healing—I do the work. And now, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey.
